[It takes perhaps a heartbeat, perhaps two, before reality... stutters, for lack of a better word. A brief hush falls, a wisp of a sea breeze flutters by.
A soft knock precedes the click of the lock opening, for politeness's sake, and then Tomoe enters the garden proper.]
[ The garden attached to Juliet's beach house is not that large--even his power, after all his activity here, is limited. But ivy and apple trees muffle sound from outside within these walls, and Juliet sits pensively on a bench in the middle of it all.
He looks up shyly beneath the one fig tree in the garden, then quickly rises to his feet. He's wearing just a silk robe this time, patterned with pink hearts and blue stars, and he has a silvery cardboard box in his hands. ]
Tomoe! I thought you'd take longer, darling! I'm unprepared!
[ He looks down at his hands for a moment, fiddling awkwardly with the box. It looks large enough to be an article of clothing, perhaps--a jacket or a purse or a large scarf. ]
I wanted to show you the depth of my feelings, Tomoe!
No, no, that's true, it's really a very nice present, actually--
[ He's distracted from his awkward stammering by that bit of fascinating magic, and he looks at it curiously for a moment.
But it wouldn't do to get distracted by how cute and clever she is right now; instead he reaches out and carefully lifts the lid of the remaining box in her hands. ]
Look!
[ It springs free of the box in a puff of soft, almost fluffy light in shades of pale ever-refracting rainbow, a crystalline blob about the size of her head, and it floats gently in midair.
Juliet speaks to it. ]
Wake up.
[ Suddenly there is a face on the amiable little light-blob.
[It's a soft little inhalation, as reactions go, but there's no way to mistake the way her dark eyes glitter. The box and wrapping have vanished somewhere in the interim, and she reaches out to cup her hands around the little floating puff. For a moment, she simply drinks in the sight of it, her fathomless eyes looking at it, and then into it.
Her lips curve, and her hands lower.
A tendril of darkness snags around Juliet's waist, pulling him in as she turns so that she can simply, fluidly lean up to press her mouth against his. Soundlessly, she moves her lips—
[ He bites his lip anxiously for a moment as he waits for her reaction. And then--he breathes out in relief, his own eyes glittering with delight as if to mirror hers. ]
It's also a lovely purse, by the way! It eats any items you might have and spits them back out when you ask for--
[ He's still mid-babble when she pulls him in and he falls perfectly silent, trembling a little at her touch. ]

[ Attached to it is a small, elegantly-written note with directions to Juliet's private garden in the city. ]

I didn't want to make you wait.
I can leave for a little bit, if you'd prefer.

[ He's blushing a little, but he quickly straightens up and approaches her more calmly. ]
I got a hold of a little gift for you, you see.

Yes, darling, exactly.
Never mind the wrapping and all that crap! Here, take it!
[ He shoves the box out at here. ]

Juliet worked hard for me.
[That said, when she accepts the box, she doesn't tear into it; the wrappings unravel, in a perfect reverse of how they were first applied.]

I'm so happy you like it.

Darling, you're so sweet!
